The Process

Make a commitment to have a short meeting every morning. Ask each member of the team to state three well-defined objectives for the day. Record the objectives in a visible public place, and check off the tasks as they are completed throughout the day. If an objective is not completed in three days, break the task into smaller steps, or remove it from your board.

The Team

The role of the team is to ask critical questions around each task. Is it too big? Is it really that important? And does it have a measureable outcome?

Some people have asked us if Big Board is for individuals. Our answer is no. Big Board is for teams of 2 to 7 people who already know how to plan a project.

The Tool

Our day-planning process was finely honed during a year of intense day-planning exercises. Big Board App brings all that magic together in a clean, simple service.

It's accessible on any mobile device and on the web, so you never have to wonder what the hell is on the whiteboard.

Team-based Task Management. Yes we did.

Big Board is three simple things: A team, a rule, and a tool. You should take a few minutes to read about the rules, and how to implement them in your team. When you're ready, check out the tool we've built to support the process. And if you're not willing to pay a minimal price for an excellent product, just grab your whiteboard and do it your own damn self.

Your to-do list is full of neglected tasks, abandoned projects, useless reminders, and rotten, stale leftovers. But it's not your fault. The problem is you're doing them alone, and probably feeling lost. We found a way to turn that around. This is day-planning for elite teams who want to reach the next level of effectiveness.

To-do lists are where tasks go to die.
Big Board is where tasks go to get done.
